Into the Soul of the Endangered

"Drawing and creating art has always been my therapy allowing me to express my deepest feelings and passion for those things that speak to my heart. As I have grown through my art, it has become clear to me that I can be a voice of compassion and bring a message of the importance and worthiness of those things that cannot speak for themselves to the viewing public. With the use of vibrant colors and the contrast of lights and darks, whether with watercolor, pastel or charcoal, I try to pull the viewer's eye into my paintings and attempt to awaken their emotions. It is my goal to encourage and engage the viewer to delve into the beauty and sometimes sadness of the subjects in my paintings. It is also my hope to provide an opportunity for them to learn new things and open their mind to the realization of the urgency to preserve these things in a world that is rapidly losing the desire to  safeguard subjects that can still provide great value to humankind."
