Call for Artists:
Submit Work to our Annual Regional Holiday Art Exhibition & Sale

ELIGIBILITY Eligible two dimensional media include painting, drawing, printmaking, pastel and mixed media, photography, sculpture or woodwork. Three dimensional non-hanging artworks are NOW eligible. Work may not exceed 24” in height or width, including frame. This is an accessible show for art-loving gift shoppers; all prices should be below $200. 

 

PRESENTATION Work must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Drawings, prints, watercolors and pastels must be under plexiglass or glass.  All work, glass, and frames must be clean, undamaged and ready for a show.  

 

SALES All work will be for sale and priced under $200. 60% proceeds from sales will go to the artist and 40% proceeds will go to 610 Gallery's nonprofit parent, The Ridgway Chautauqua Society. 

 

FEES Free to enter, maximum submission: 4 pieces. There are no handling fees but artists are responsible for shipping costs, if any.

 

SUBMISSION Gallery reserves the right to reject hanging a piece of work. Late-arriving work will be hung at the discretion of the Gallery.  Work must remain for duration of exhibition. 

 

RECEIVING Hand-delivered work must and printed applications must be brought to 610 Arts, Nov 9th&10th 10am-12pm or Nov 11th 10am-4pm. Shipped work must arrive by November 11th in a sturdy, reusable container. No plastic peanuts, please. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from gallery and insurance in transit. Return shipping must be prepaid through UPS or FedEx. Artists shipping from abroad are responsible for their artwork clearing customs and arriving on time at the gallery. 

 

REMOVAL All work must be picked up from gallery on January 6th or January 7th, between 11am and 4pm on these days. Works not removed on these days will be placed in storage and released at gallery’s convenience. 

 

LIABILITY All artwork will be handled with the utmost care by experienced gallery personnel. Pieces are insured for damage or theft from October 28th to January 7th while in the Gallery. 610 Gallery, however, will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the work during transportation to or from the gallery.

HOLIDAY HOURS 610 Arts Collective will be open weekend mornings in November and December! We will also observe limited/ holiday hours during the week of Thanksgiving and the week directly prior to Christmas. The gallery is closed between December 25th and January 1st. 

INFORMATION Show opens with a reception on November 13th and artists are encouraged to attend from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
